Research interests involve a compilation of theoretical, experimental and field approaches to understand the evolution of crustal fluids at a wide range of geological settings, and constrain the role of water in mass/heat transfer processes, and on the phase equilibria relationships between fluids and crystalline phases of Earth’s interior. Thus, research activities address a number of critical issues associated with deep carbon cycling, phase equilibria and thermodynamics of metastable mineral phases, stable isotope proxies of abiotic/biotic processes and life evolution/habitability at extreme conditions.
