The broad scope of Bjorn Mysen's research activities is the understanding of the physicochemical principles that govern mass and energy transfer processes in the interior of the Earth. This aim is realized via characterization through experimentation and theory of equilibrium and kinetics in mineral-melt-fluid systems in the Earth's crust and upper mantle.
